Changing of The Guard

Changing the Guard at Windsor Castle encompasses colourful spectacle and British pageantry with a full Military Brass band. The ceremony usually takes place at 11:00am within the Castle grounds however you can watch them parade through the streets for no cost at all!

The parade begins at the Victoria Barracks at approximately 10:45am moving up Sheet Street and onto the High Street towards the castle. Once you have found a good spot to watch them move up to the castle, hold on to your places for the guards returning to Barracks 10 minutes later.

If you want to avoid the crowds at the Castle entrance, head right down the High Street towards Sheet Street and give yourself a better view.
